First float, American Heroes. Despite the holiday theme of the parade, the display of patriotic items such as flags was prominent. This was also one of the better attended parades in many years. People seemed glad to have the chance to gather together in this public civic forum. |

No parade is complete without music, of course. Brockton High School, Stoughton High School, and all four of the Brockton Junior High Schools, as well as one unnamed band and the Clown band were on hand. Above, BHS's marching band, below Molly in her first marching band experience. |

Lots of community groups, lots of dance schools (at least 8) and even the Brockton Garden Club entered floats. And Brockton honored its "Champions of the City" a man and woman selected each year for the title in recognition of their work to promote the welfare and pride of city residents. |
