Visiting the D.C. area in January

After a relatively mild winter, the cold settled in in mid-January, and as I was heading off to BWI airport, a snow storm was bearing down on the Northeast. By the time I arrived at BWI, there was a coating of snow and ice everywhere.
I made my way via Metro to East Falls Church, where Patrick picked me up, and we drove over to his new home in Falls Church. Pat shares the 4-bedroom house with three other young men. He moved here to begin a computer programming masters program at George Mason University.
At the front door of the new home.
The house is quite roomy, with two "common spaces", each with a fireplace. It's also obviously the home to 4 young, unmarried men; maid service might be in order : )
Pat in his lair; the Enterprise never had so many blinking lights!
For lunch we headed off to Texas de Brazil in Fairfax. Wonderful service and food!
We attended a Choral Evensong at St. Anselm's Abbey near Catholic University in Washington, D.C., and then headed to Col. Brooks Tavern for a quick supper, before I grabbed the metrorail to head to Union Station for a train ride up to Baltimore.
