November 1, 2002 All Saints Day Dear Rebecca Ruth, Today I made the arrangements for your funeral. We wanted to make sure that we could have you buried in your own plot, so that we would have a place to visit you. I want to be able to bring your grandmother Clare who is in Florida right now, to visit you, and also your aunt Cindy, who will be here in December. I've picked some music for the funeral Mass. We'll bring you to St. Colman's to pray for you--it's so sad you'll never get to know the parish church, we have so many friends there, and it is such a beautiful church. Your mom and I woke up at 4 am this morning,and talked about you. We wish we could have done something to change this, so that we would see you and know that we would be holding you again. You were such a beautiful girl...perfect little hands and feet, lovely dark hair. God, we miss you so much, and we hardly knew you. Love, Dad |
